UrbanJoy was created from a simple belief: there is more to life than what we can see, touch, and explain.

For some of us, spirituality isn't something we discovered in a book. It has always been there, quietly woven through our lives. A feeling we couldn't explain. A coincidence that seemed far too precise. A dream that stayed with us. The sudden certainty that something was about to happen. Or that strange moment when someone we love calls just as we were thinking about them.

UrbanJoy is a place for people who are willing to explore those moments.

It is where modern witchcraft, intuition, ritual, manifestation, and spiritual curiosity meet something equally important: the desire to create a happier, more intentional life.

The Story Behind UrbanJoy

UrbanJoy was founded by writer Alan Wild, but its roots began long before the website had a name.

Alan grew up in a home where the unexplained wasn't particularly unusual.

His mother seemed to possess an extraordinary intuition. There were times when she wanted one of her children and seemingly didn't need to call their name. Somehow, they simply knew.

She also believed strongly in protecting the home from negativity and creating an environment where her family felt safe.

Alan doesn't try to put a label on what his mother was or wasn't.

What mattered was the experience.

And some of it seemed to follow him into adulthood.

Alan and his sister still experience those peculiar moments of connection when one thinks about the other and suddenly the phone rings. There have also been unexplained experiences in his own home, including unusual sounds, sightings, strange occurrences captured by cameras, and the occasional mysterious orb drifting through a recording.

Are all of those things supernatural?

Maybe.

Maybe not.

UrbanJoy isn't here to tell you what you must believe.

It is here to encourage you to explore.
