A Five-Minute Body Scan Ritual for Falling Asleep Peacefully
August 26, 2026
My Seasonal Abundance Vision Board Ritual
August 26, 2026My green candle money ritual started after I caught myself making the same vague wish over and over — “let money be less stressful” — without ever attaching it to anything concrete. A friend who’s done candle work longer than I have pointed out that vague intentions tend to produce vague results, and challenged me to get specific the next time I lit a candle for anything financial.
So the next time, I picked one real number: a specific bill I was behind on, an exact amount, a real deadline. I lit a green candle, said the specific intention out loud rather than in my head, and let it burn down while I sat with that one concrete goal instead of a general wish for financial ease.
Why Specificity Changed Everything
“Get rich” or “attract abundance” as a stated intention had never felt like it was doing anything for me, mostly because it gave me nothing to actually act toward afterward. A specific dollar amount and a real deadline, spoken while the candle burned, did something different — it turned a ritual moment into a mental commitment I carried into the following days. I started noticing opportunities to save or earn toward that exact number, which I don’t think is coincidence so much as attention finally being pointed somewhere precise.
This is the part of candle magic I keep coming back to in everything I write about it: the ritual isn’t separate from action, it’s a way of clarifying what action to actually take. A green candle money ritual built around covering a specific bill gave me a concrete target that a vague wish for prosperity never could.
What the Ritual Actually Looks Like
I keep it simple: one green candle, a few coins nearby as a visual anchor for the intention, and a single sentence stating exactly what I need and by when. I let the candle burn all the way down when I can, treating its full burn as the ritual’s natural close, and I write the specific goal somewhere I’ll see it again in the days after.

This grew directly out of what I learned writing about how candle magic changed my everyday rituals, applied to a more specific financial context. It also pairs naturally with my prosperity bowl ritual for new opportunities — the bowl is an ongoing, slower practice, while this green candle ritual is for the sharper moments when I need to focus on one specific, real financial goal rather than opportunity in general.
